“ Hubby & I decided to stop here in a recent Fri evening, based on the positive food reviews. The restaurant is in a very old house, so it has that funky character to it -- high ceilings & wide baseboards, etc. Had to wash my hands before dinner -- restroom was dated but clean. At first our server seemed kind of abrupt, almost like we were interrupting her routine, but then once she got finished doing what she was doing (between getting our menus & getting our beverage order), she seemed more cheerful, but we didn't get her name. For some bizarre reason, their take-out menu is set up differently from their in-house menu... different menu items (server said all items were the same, however we couldn't find one of our dishes on the take-out menu), arranged in different order & categories -- confusing, if you want to order take-out, but can't find the name of what you had previously). Anyway, hubby chose Imperial Chicken & I chose Che-pa Beef (I think it was called?). We added a side of steamed rice and shared the mains -- there was enough leftover for our next day's lunches. The kitchen was very accommodating to my request for "no onions" because of a severe intolerance I have, however the server did advise us that they do use MSG here. ”
